Top Ps4 Fallout 4 Mods

admin

May have released its final official DLC, but the mod community is still going strong. Mods are now available not just on PC, but also console — and now that weeks have passed and the PS4 has a healthy supply of different mods to choose from, it’s time to show off mods that make a great game even better. Here you’ll find all the greatest mods that add new content to the base games and its expansions — from fresh settlements, to new interiors and quests, to utilities you can use to build the homestead of your dreams. There’s a reason why I wanted to discuss mods on the PS4 specifically. They’re extremely limited. Instead of (almost) full access to new items, objects and audio like on the Xbox One,. That severely limits creativity, and effectively cuts the PS4 modding community off at the knees.

It’s an aggravating truth, but one that hundreds of awesome creators are working with to release useful mods for the console community. If you’re skeptical, own a PS4, or just want to see what’s available — here are some of the best content-related released so far.Immersive Gameplay. Author: Jacomel. Download Size: 2.64 MB.

DLC Required: None / Automatron + Far Harbor + Nuka World Two versions of the mod are available. Note: Always place this mod at the end of your load order. The largest gameplay and difficulty mod available for console is now available on Playstation 4. Designed for hardcore players, this unpredictable and deadly mod tries to bring realism into the post-apocalypse.

AI routines have changed depending on the enemy group, with human mercenaries fighting carefully from cover while Super Mutants use their enhanced strength to charge wildly. Monsters are fierce, and humans are deadly. The player begins with only 20 HP, and gun damage is calculated by caliber. Ammunition has weight, can be crafted and melee attacks are deadlier than before. On top of all those changes, you’ll also find a stack of gear under your pre-war bed. This mod changes how you’ll play from the start, so it’s recommended you begin a new game from scratch before activating it.

Author: TheRealElianora. Download Size: 298.23 KB. DLC Required: NoneThis brand-new player house was created, in the author’s own words, to “shut the mouths of people constantly grieving that “PS4 MODS WILL SUCK!”. In any case, this Diamond City housing doesn’t suck. Carefully designed for maximum comfort (and Feng Shui), this impressive bit of modelling includes all the simple things a Sole Survivor needs to relax between quests. The small space contains a map marker for fast travel, a workstation, bobblehead shelf, unique storage cases, clean water, a fancy bed, and plenty of bookshelves you can use. The decorations, though, can’t be altered. This house isn’t for players looking to display everything they own, or to customize — this is for the laid back adventurer that wants a nice place away from the hustle-bustle of settlements that’s pre-made.

Top 7 Best Fallout 4 Quest Mods for PS4 Phillip Anderson - March 3, 2020 0 Quest Mods offer so much to Fallout 4, often adding hours of new content including Locations, NPC's and Loot. PS4 console mods for Fallout 4 suck. Thanks to the limitations imposed by Sony, the developers at Bethesda released a severely limited version of their console mod functionality, essentially neutering any PS4 modding scene that might've thrived under better circumstances. Still, there's a lot of quality stuff floating around that's available under the PS4 umbrella, and I delved into those.

There’s even a day-night cycle. Author: DangoSan. Download Size: 531.67 KB. DLC Required: None Note: This mod is still in development, and will see new content updates in the near future. This mod may only be in BETA for PS4, it includes something every Fallout fan should enjoy — plenty of new interiors and exteriors to explore. As explained in the description, most of the new interiors can be found in the Concord area, which is sadly underutilized in the main portion of the game. This simple mod adds nine new interiors to the mix, fully explorable and completely immersive.

Like any good mod, these locations look like they belong in the main game. Then there’s the exteriors. There are multiple haunts, huts, and retreats to stumble into as you progress through the northern reaches of the Commonwealth.

If you felt like Fallout 4 didn’t have enough locations, both inside or out, then this is a great mod to get started on. Author: FelloutIsLife. Download Size: 1.12 MB. DLC Required: None Note: Before activating this mod, travel to Spectacle Island and activate the beacon in the base game. The largest settlement in Fallout 4 just got a revamp. This mod completely changes Spectacle Island into a far more colorful and interesting place.

You can still establish a settlement and build on new-and-improved flat land, with 5 new mini-areas to check out. Each of these areas comes with a separate text-based side-quest you can complete for special rewards — including a new gun.Portable Nuka Jetpack. Author: langnao. Download Size: 18.33 KB.

DLC Required: Nuka-WorldWant to go flying, but don’t want that bulky Power Armor? If you have the Nuka-World DLC, you can take to the skies with this amazing jetpack, available for free in the Super Duper Mart. This is a quick solution, and doesn’t require access to one of those tricky Power Armor upgrades. There’s no fall damage, the suit comes with ballistic weave, and the included helmet helps deal with radiation. If you’re not so fond of the Nuka-World outfit this jetpack comes with, try out the incredibly useful Unified Clothing Overhaul Mod by ANDREWCX, also featured in this article below. His mod adds tons of useful features to clothing crafting, and unlocks the jetpack for Nuka-World owners.Wacky Weapon Workshop. Author: ANDREWCX.

Download Size: 514.85 KB. DLC Required: None / Automatron + Nuka-World + Far Harbor Two versions of the mod are available. Not satisfied with weapon customization in Fallout 4? Here’s a mod that gives you plenty of tools to expand your arsenal, effectively allowing you to create insane franken-guns using every part from almost every weapon. The mod removes perk requirements and material costs so you can freely experiment to make the wild weapon of your dreams. And there are limitations. Not every gun part fits to every other gun part — the mod doesn’t alter models, animations, or stats of these weapons, and does not include melee weapons. This is about guns only.

What makes this mod special is the creative way it wants to get around the obvious drawbacks of PS4 modding. This is a development tool, better for creating cool custom weapons than for day-to-day play. The author recommends finishing your awesome assets, then disabling the mod when you’re finished. Here’s hoping this mod helps future authors create new weapons on the PS4.DrakenVale Manor. Author: SlacksNawfside. Download Size: 1.6 MB. DLC Required: Far Harbor + Nuka World Note: If the location does not properly load on your first visit, fast travel to a different location.

Fast travel back to the manor and that should make the textures load properly.Another awesome exploration / playing housing mod on the Playstation 4, this ambient retreat doesn’t offer scares like “A Cannibal in Concord” — instead you’ll find an incredibly detailed and impressive mansion filled with interesting things to interact with. Yes, there is a roller coaster. This dream-like area is south of Diamond City, and it is hard to miss. With massive ramparts and towers covered in overgrown turrets, it doesn’t look like it belongs, but the craftsmanship is too superb to ignore. This wonderfully creative and unique location can be fully explored, and we suggest you give it a shot.World to Come.

Author: Neeher. Download Size: 973.35 KB. DLC Required: NoneFight the ultimate beast on the PS4 in “World to Come” a mini-quest mod challenging any Sole Survival to beat Gojira, a huge (and fast) legendary Death Claw. And we’re not talking normal huge here, this thing is six times the size of a regular Death Claw.

It’s well over two-stories tall, and the health bar is equally impressive. Defeating it will earn you a brand new Perk.To start the quest, find a man between Quincy Quarries and Hyde Park in the Commonwealth. He’ll point you in the right direction. Just remember to go prepared. Those are our picks for mods worth checking out in Fallout 4 (on the PS4) — is there a mod you think we missed? Let us know in the comments!

I tried to find a list of mods that could be considered must haves for the PS4 that doesn't include a ton of mods I'd consider to be cheats, so after several months of tinkering I have a list myself. In my opinion these are all excellent additions to the game that don't compromise the integrity of the game; I'll list a few cheat mods along with other excellent mods that didn't quite make the cut as honorable mentions.USO - Unlocked Settlement Objects is a great addition for anyone who likes making settlements- it can be an almost overwhelming amount of new things to build with but you'll quickly get to grips with it once you've figured out how to navigate the menus.

This mod does cause the game to lag out for a few seconds when you open workshop mode, but that's a problem with how mods are forced to function on console.Place Anywhere Tool - Another great tool for building settlements, this helps you place things where you want to place them. Simple, effective and does exactly what it says on the tin.Integrated Commonwealth- Quite a few mods by ANDREWCX are on this list it turns out. This is for the folks who have the season pass (or at least Automatron, Far Harbor and Nuka World)- now you'll be able to find DLC items and creatures rarely in the commonwealth and in the other DLC areas- creatures from the DLCs won't start appearing until you complete the Mechanical Menace quest.STS- Scrap That Settlement is a great tool that finally let's you scrap all that nasty stuff you're forced to leave around your settlements. Gone are the trashpiles, random bushes and piles of leaves. Granted some might consider this a cheat because of how many resources scrapping can net you, but realistically the only more rare resource you'll find yourself with barrels of is fertiliser. The Beantown Interiors Project, Stumble Upon Interiors and Lexington Interiors- I'm growling these three together because they all offer the same function.

They give you more interiors to explore! It really makes the game fresh again to be able to wander round and spot a door in a well trodden city that you've never been in before and inject the excitement of exploration back into your experience. Some may note that I've left out another mod that creates plenty more exploration but that's coming up next.Plenty'o'Exploration OR Minuteman Watchtowers- Plenty'o'Exploration gives you more interiors and a few exteriors to explore, mostly around the Concord area, while Minuteman Watchtowers adds nine new exterior locations to explore. These are both great mods and I would recommend using one but not the other.

Unfortunately there's one location both mods use and they end up conflicting.Dismemberment Overhaul (original version)- Makes the game gorier and more satisfying, and can lead to some rather funny scenarios. There's a version where headshots kill but that's up to you if you want to use it, for the purpose of this mod I'm trying to avoid cheaty mods.TCE - The Companions Enhanced is a mod that makes your companions look better and be somewhat more useful. It also fixes Mama Murphy's zombie face which is a plus.Simple Settlers (Mortal Edition)- Gives settlers names, increases the number of variants for their appearance and provides a small chance to recruit functional child settlers.

Just a nice bit of immersion added.Better Graphics and Weather - Really, this does what it says on the tin, just improving the lighting and feel of the game at times- nights are actually dark! Some prefer Weather Redux which is a great mod but adds new weather systems I'm not really a fan of, but I'd definitely recommend giving either a try!.Water Redux - Lots of the water mods make all water crystal clear or all murky; I find this mod strikes a nice balance and manages to get the water looking just right.Insignificant Object Remover - This helps with performance by removing about a quarter of the grass and rubbish strewn about the commonwealth that the game generates on the fly.

You won't even notice the difference in how the game looks. All you'll notice is that the game is running more smoothly.Dogs Not Brahmin - I'd say this is an almost essential mod. It removes the pack Brahmin of caravans and provisioners and replaces them with junkyard dogs.

Simple, effective and removes massive animals that end up on rooves because they have no idea how to navigate the environment.NPCs Travel - Adds over 130 random encounters you can find patrolling across the roads of the commonwealth. Verilog code for serial adder with accumulator. It's more immersive when you bump into some minutemen wandering along and adds a bit of challenge when you bump into some gunners instead.Loaded Loading Screens - 'but Psychosociety, why is a mod for loading screens a must have?'

I'm not going to answer that question. I don't want to tell you anything else. Just install it. Trust me.Pip-Boy Flashlight (Brighter) - Only really necessary if you have a mod that makes nights darker, but if you do, this is an absolutely essential addition.Shotgun Surgeon Perk - This mod replaces the useless Basher perk in the strength tree with one that increases your damage with shotguns and scattered lasers. I don't consider this a cheat, I think it was an oversight on Bethesda's part to make it so no perks affect shotguns. This fixes that by replacing a useless perk with a very useful one; I believe it's balanced as 8 strength is quite the investment.Eli's Tweaks & Fixes All In One - As it says on the tin, this is just a bunch of tweaks and fixes that really help. I'm not a big fan of the fact that it increases your resources gained from water, electricity and defense in settlements as it's a bit cheaty but that can't be helped- the rest of the changes are great ones. There are several home mods worth mentioning that are static and don't give you a bunch of freebies.

I'd recommend Elianora's Marlborough Mansion and Outfield Retreat homes, whilst Shezrie's Fenway Apartment is the one I'm currently using and liking a lot.Now for the honorable mentions. Unified Clothing Overhaul (UCO) is an absolute must have in my opinion, but many consider it to be a cheat mod- no-one forces you to put ballistic weave on your bandana, that's your decision. SimpleSeasons is a great series of mods that allow you to change how the environment looks, making things a bit greener, but I've not included it in the list as using one of these mods compromises the 'fallout feel' for me personally. Buffed Minuteman Militia 2 is another great, well liked mod, though I don't really side with the minutemen all that often and it can mess either Integrated Commonwealth's leveled lists so I run without it (definitely a great addition if you just have the base game however!) Sanctuary Hot Springs and Settlement is an excellent player home mod however I prefer to avoid it simply because none of the decorations are static and I end up knocking everything over anyway, kinda ruining the aesthetic.

OCDecorator is a great addition if you do want to decorate, I used to run with this mod a lot but unfortunately I've found running this plus USO can lead the game to crashing often when you open workshop mode. Another amazing mod is FreeFall 4- it's a pretty amazing mod that fixes a lot of bugs and fixes throughout the game and adds in cut content, however it's a mod of enormous scope and if you'd like to use it it's best to do so with it standalone- I personally use several other mods that add in some of the cut content and just live with the bugs for the sake of having a fair few mods installed. Finally I'd like to throw you cheaters a bone- Cheat Room and Freemaker are both great mods that let you pretty much make anything and get anything in the game, allowing you to so whatever the hell you like.I'm not great at Reddit formatting so please forgive any errors, and if you have any other suggestions for mods I should add to this list please leave feedback. I hope this helps someone out there improve their Fallout 4 experience on PS4:). I know this is an older thread, so sorry for the necro. I stumbled on this doing a little research for my upcoming playthrough and thought I'd contribute a few things I've learned modding FO4 for PS4.First of all, I wouldn't recommend Insignificant Object Remover. It breaks precombines, which can cause a whole host of problems late in your game.

If you're looking for a performance/FPS mod, a safer alternative is. I use the Complete Pack, but it is modular with standalones for reduced grass and disabling god rays or lens flare. Also, for anyone who's curious, the Rifleman perk affects shotguns as well. So Shotgun Surgeon isn't really necessary for that reason, but it's still a good replacement for the (mostly) useless Basher perk.As far as other mods I feel would deserve inclusion on this list.is the best and most stable graphics/weather mod I've found. It does remove god rays and makes changes to lens flare, so I wouldn't run it with Nytra's mods aside from the grass reduction ones. Another big plus is that it plays nice with Freefall.is great for a more immersive sound design. Just make sure to adjust the sliders it adds to the Settings menu if you don't want it to sound like you're playing inside a tin can. Definitely a mainstay in my load order, though.Lastly, if you want a bug fix mod and don't want to pull your hair out figuring out what's compatible with Freefall, we finally have the available to us PS4 scrubs!

It doesn't fix as much as Freefall or restore cut content, but it is much more usable with a large load order.Sorry for the wall of text, but hopefully it will save some folks a bit of frustration and add some life to a great game.P.S. Thank you for including Loaded Loading Screens!

Anything that makes the most boring part of the game fun gets a big ol' thumbs up from me.
